 Required Qualifications – Network and System Admin

Description:

  • Receive Hardware from AIS or other vendors
  • Rack, power & connect to Castel HQ Network
  • Install OS, Database SW, and utilities and bring to current patch level including BIOS settings, RAID Settings
  • Update AutoTask with Server and Infrastructure information
  • Update OS & DB License Info (files)
  • Turn over to Engineers for Product Install and Configuration
  • Prepare Servers for Shipping and monitor delivery to customers or other facilities
  • Configure IP addresses with IPMI

Customer Installations

  • Assist with synchronizing time (NTP) servers
  • Assist customers with racking and connecting servers
  • Assist customers with installing desktop applications

Normal Daily Responsibilities

  • Maintain Active Directory and Group Policy configurations for employees and contractors
  • Maintain network routing, firewall rules and general network maintenance
  • Manage contracts with ISP and Carriers
  • Provision Virtual Servers for Internal Use
  • Maintain current and accurate IT asset inventory
  • Maintain Security and Antivirus systems so that Castel’s systems are adequately protected
  • Assist as required with internal and customer support including after hours, either scheduled or ad hoc based on need.

Customer Support

  • Troubleshoot, repair and, or replace hardware components (disk drives, RAM Modules, etc)
  • Apply OS and System patches as required by customers per support tickets or CRM requests
  • Assist customers with racking and connecting servers
  • Assist with installing and troubleshooting issues with desktop applications
  • General support per assigned tickets
  • Required Skills and Attributes
  • Working knowledge with Linux OS, Windows OS, Network Design & Administration
  • Working knowledge of Mobile Device Management (iPhone, or Android)
  • Working knowledge of Web Sites and Web-based Systems
  • Excellent customer support and interface skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem resolution and time management
  • Able to multitask and prioritize when required
  • Willingness to collaborate with team members and a friendly demeanor
