Lighthouse Technology Services is seeking a Sr. IT Quality Analyst for a 12+ month contract in Buffalo, NY.  

Requirements Include:

  • Strong tester with 3+ years experience in testing integrations / data conversions along with functional testing.
  • Strong project background with work on major system implementations, preferably Work Day or another ERP package.

Responsibilities Include:  

  • Assure that IT Deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, reliability and stability.
  • Define test approaches and strategies.
  • Analyze requirements, creating test scripts, performing test executions, regression testing, and analyzing defects.
  • Accountable for defect root cause analysis, working closely with members of the development team and other Analysts to document detailed information for defect recreation and process improvement.
  • All aspects of the software development lifecycle and assesses and communicates Quality expectations and progress throughout the process.
  • Establish, develop, maintain, and enforce quality assurance policies, processes, procedures, and schedules that will ensure exceptional delivery of IT solutions.
  • Review system requirements, functional design, technical design specifications and other available information for assigned initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with Technical Team and Customers to develop test strategies that validate the technical solution meets the business requirements provided.
  • Responsible for the design and implementation of the Test Scenarios and Test Cases accordance to test plan specifications.
  • Execute test scripts and documents both passed and failed tests. 
  • Thoroughly perform root cause analysis and documents defects where the actual results do not successfully meet the expected results. 
  • Develop and maintain quality assurance documentation for projects and assigned work to support quality metrics.
  • Ensure documentation complies with established ITQA standards, policies and procedures.
  • Provide traceability from business requirements and technical specifications to test conditions and defect reports.
  • Participate in detailed review walk-through sessions.
  • Track issues to successful resolution.
  • Collect metrics to measure test progress & quality outcomes.
  • Ensure that the software meets or exceeds project performance, reliability, and quality goals.
  • Work closely with the engineering organization to ensure that requirements are testable and can be validated.
  • Maintain and evolve QA test processes to aid in high quality and timely releases. 
  • Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of responsible workload. 
  • Identify and help to best automate test cases to help speed up QA cycles. 
  • Prepare status reports and summarizes testing progress in departmental and project team meetings.
  • Alert QA Leads or QA Leadership and escalates when necessary if timetables and milestones are in danger of not being met
  • Become an expert and take ownership of the application being validated.
  • Assist management defining and maintaining an effective and efficient quality program including developing and presenting associated training and familiarization to affected staff.
