LHTS is seeking a Sr. PC Technician/Adminstrator in Buffalo, NY to maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals along with document, maintain, upgrade or replace hardware and software systems. The Sr. PC Technician/Administrator will also support and maintain user account information including rights, security and systems groups.

Responsibilities Include:   

  • Provides support to end users on a variety of issues
  • Responds to phone calls, work order requests, email and other requests for technical support
  • Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs computer systems, hardware and software
  • Prepares work stations by configuring hardware, software and network interface cards, printers and peripherals
  • Grants printer access via printer server permissions
  • Documents, maintains, images, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems
  • Diagnose wireless issues and assist in installation/moving WAP on site
  • Document, track and monitor problems and issues, to ensure a timely resolution
  • Troubleshoots user network access problems, resolves or transfers to network management
  • Manages and maintains user account information including permissions, rights, security and systems groups
  • Provides password management for multiple systems and applications, following all security procedures and practices
  • Ensures software application security, follows specific business rules for access, and protects against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction
  • Documents and follows asset management, and inventory procedures, for hardware and software
  • Documents and maintains IT Operational Procedures for assigned hardware and software systems
  • Maintains and utilizes multiple IT tools as assigned (remote control, asset monitoring, deployment servers, etc.)
  • Conducts analysis, research to develop solutions to problems
  • Provides management with input for new technology, recommending improvements
  • Mentors and assists in technical knowledge transfer to PC Technicians, as needed
  • Responsible for on-call hours, as scheduled
  • Performs information systems administrative procedures, completes timely and comprehensive work orders, job logs and associated time tracking
  • Responds in a consistent, customer focused and responsive manner to customers
  • Participates with IT team in the area of Problem Management, standards and procedures
  • Performs other related duties, projects and functions as assigned by IT management
  • Trains users in operation of equipment and programs with in basic functionality
  • Adheres to the guiding values and beliefs of the organization, including respect and courtesy toward co-workers, vendors and those we serve

Required Skills Include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Scienceor related field is required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar or related position
  • Valid NY State driver’s license
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills, technical experience and proficiency in hardware and software related to PCs, laptops, tablets, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft server technologies
  • High level of customer service aptitude
  • Supports strong working relationships and collaboration with cross functional teams and customers
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for modifications
  • Demonstrates ownership of the goals and actions of themselves and the teams they work with
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within IT hardware and software platforms
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks throughout the day

 WORK SCHEDULE:

Basic work schedule is 35 hours per week, flexible to meet the needs of the organization and to fulfill the required functions of the position.May work some off- hours and over-time to meet requirements.
