Lighthouse Technology Services is seeking Web System Administrators for contract to hire roles in Buffalo, NY.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Acts as a technical liaison with clients to facilitate the delivery and implementation of software and configuration into client production environments.
  • Responsible for planning, coordinating and participating in activities related to the design, development and implementation of enterprise information systems and software applications.
  • Implement, manage, and maintain the application ecosystem. This includes application servers, web servers, security, and deployment practices.
  • Provide technical guidance on solution implementation, ensure compliance and standards are followed, and assist in technology assessments and recommendations.
  • Windows: setup, administration, and configuration of  technologies.
  • Facilitates resolution of technical client problems in assigned product areas.
  • Performs problem resolution verification (bugs/enhancements).
  • Maintains status of problem resolution and problem resolution database.
  • Updates clients and group leader on problem resolution status.
  • Works with development to explain reported verified problem resolution to programmers.
  • Assists in testing problem resolution fixes.
  • Participates in external client projects.
  • Performs on-site billable technical work, including system reviews, and configuration, installation and environments.
  • Trains external and internal users on technical aspects of the application.
  • Assists in supporting business development efforts via telephone or on-site.
  • Participates in internal projects, such as user conference workshops, inter-departmental communications, product support, etc.
  • Other activities including special projects as directed by the employee’s manager
  • Establishes or advise on application by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of server hardware, software, and operating and system management system
  • Provide technical support throughout the duration of the implementation.
  • Help clients install new software and teach employees how to use it.
  • Handle application software monitoring, tuning, problem resolution, implementation, configuration, upgrades, and patches.
  • Determine sources of web page or server problems, and take action to correct such problems.
  • Collaborate with development teams to discuss, analyze, or resolve usability issues.
  • Implement updates, upgrades, and patches in a timely manner to limit loss of service.
  • Install or configure web server software
  • Identify or address interoperability requirements.
  • Document installation or configuration procedures to allow maintenance and repetition.
  • Identify, standardize, and communicate levels of access and security.
  • Test issues such as system integration, performance, and system security on a regular schedule or after any major program modifications.

  • Training: Client Technology teams and internal trainings, performs both on-site and utilizing VSD (Virtual Service Delivery)
  • Application Admin: Application Configuration, Setup, and Installation
  • Application Knowledge: Application knowledge and understanding of multi-tier ecosystem Concepts
  • Testing: Testing of Applications deployment, installation and configuration tools for Project and Support-related activities
  • Validation: Findings validation, internal and external
  • Analysis: Technical Specification and requirements analysis
