Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to add a Data Application Developer to their team! This is a direct hire role and is open to remote candidates located in the Western New York region with occasional onsite meetings in Buffalo, New York.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a strong, self-motivated individual to help produce innovative solutions, develop and maintain multiple web applications and databases based on Microsoft technologies. Someone who:

• Embraces a collaborative team that shares ideas and knowledge through code sharing, whiteboarding, and brainstorming. Roadmap meetings to discuss processes and determine technologies to use
• Is open to learn and adapt to stay up-to-date with the current libraries, versions, and interrelated tools
• Is excited about developing applications that are efficient, maintainable, adaptable, and reusable
• Doesn’t want to be just a cog in the system. Have ownership to analyze the needs and requirements of the system and contribute to the end solution and specifications. Freedom to get the work done.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop and maintain code base using C# ASP.Net.
• Write client-side scripts in JavaScript, jQuery, and TypeScript for Ajax requests and user experience.
• Design, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases, including writing and optimizing stored procedures and functions, and creating and maintaining tables and views.
• Maintain websites, applications, virtual directories, and AppPools.
• Test portals to ensure cross-browser compatibility, functionality, responsiveness, and accessibility.
• Meet with educators to understand specifications and requirements and turn them into working solutions.
• Participate in project requirements gathering, analysis, design meetings, and collaborative sessions to provide solution recommendations for new project requests.
• Data Modeling and ETL: Design and implement data models, extract-transform-load (ETL) processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Dashboarding and Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for stakeholders.

What You'll Need to Have:

Web Development Experience  

• Experience working with Microsoft .NET Frameworks 3.x, 4.x, 5.x, 6.x, .NET Core
• C#, ASP.NET, MVC
• Object-Orientated Programming
• Service Oriented Architecture (SOA): Web Services and WebApi
• HTML, CSS/SASS, XML, JSON, JavaScript (jQuery), AJAX, and TypeScript
• Basic source control concepts
• Experience with Accessibility / ADA Compliance

SQL Server

• Experience with SQL Server
• Working knowledge of relational databases
• Data modeling and Entity relationship design
• Build & modify table structures
• Author and maintain T-SQL, Stored Procedures

Data Development

• Data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing
• Dashboarding and creating data visualizations using tools like Power BI or Tableau
• Understanding of data quality and data governance principles

Salary Range: $80,000-$110,000 Annually
