Charlotte, NC

Job Number: 3450768 Pay Rate: $75-$80/hr Is Position Remote?: Yes

Job Description

*Contract-to-Hire Opportunity*

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Senior PHP Full Stack Developer position! This is a 6+ month contract-to-hire opportunity and will be hybrid in Charlotte, NC, though highly qualified remote candidates based in the U.S. will also be considered. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.

Position Overview

Our client, a leader in foodservice and cutting edge food tech solutions, is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Developer with deep expertise in OroCommerce to lead the development and optimization of their B2B eCommerce platform. This role demands a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between complex business requirements and scalable technical solutions. The team is in the process of replacing an existing solution with the OroCommerce platform, so the right candidate will be comfortable working alongside a system integrator as they deploy the new platform and transition to an in-house team.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Collaborate with solutions architects to design and implement scalable and secure solutions within the OroCommerce framework.
  • Customize OroCommerce functionalities, balancing out-of-the-box features with tailored development including module and third-party integrations.
  • Enhance front-end user interfaces using Twig templates, JavaScript, and CSS for seamless user experience.
  • Build and maintain back-end custom bundles, services, and APIs using Symfony within OroCommerce.
  • Optimize and design database schemas to ensure performance and data integrity.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and QA Engineers to deliver high-quality releases.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices.
  • Mentor junior developers and promote continuous learning within the development team.
  • Stay current with industry trends and innovations to continually improve the platform.

What You'll Need to Have:

  • 5+ years in full-stack development, primarily PHP and Symfony.
  • 3+ years of experience with OroCommerce strongly preferred; Magento, SAP Commerce Cloud, or similar experience also acceptable.
  • Experience with object-oriented design, PHP, Symfony, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL/PostgreSQL.
  • Proficiency in Doctrine ORM, Twig, and RESTful API development.
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests (PHPUnit, Behat, Symfony’s Web TestCase).
  • Familiarity with CI tools like Jenkins and Docker, and experience with GCP.
  • Agile experience, ideally SAFe or Scrum.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
  • OroCommerce Developer Certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Experience in an Enterprise B2B environment preferred.
  • Understanding of B2B eCommerce workflows and experience with enterprise eCommerce platforms preferred.

Pay Range: $75-$80/hr
