*Hybrid Contract Opportunity*
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Senior SIEM Engineer position! This is a 12 month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo, New York. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Work closely with Technology management, senior Engineers, and support teams on a regular basis to implement and manage the design, development, and execution of technical solutions that meet or exceed current and future needs of the organization.
- Responsibilities may include infrastructure architecture and design, research and development of new or expanded systems, creation of technology standards and policies, thorough analysis of user requirements and operational constraints, unit test and system integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Regularly and independently interact with business partners of varying associate and management levels to ensure clarity of the problem/opportunity and elicit business requirements.
- Coordinate vendor interactions and/or vendor resources as needed.
- Mentor and coach less experienced engineers, technicians, and integrators. Review documentation, proposals, and changes proposed by less experienced staff.
- Seek to expand knowledge and understanding of Financial Services trends, practices, and technologies on a continuous basis.
- Follow and promote use of industry best practices, standards and procedures.
What You'll Need to Have:
- Combined minimum of 8 years higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management and/or architecture.
- Strong understanding of the system development and infrastructure lifecycle and architecture, vendor best practices, IT Service Management, and systems design.
- Expert-level experience in engineering and implementing SIEM platforms, such as Splunk, QRadar, Securonix, or Sumo Logic.
- Hands-on experience in setting up and configuring SIEM solutions to meet security and compliance standards.
- Ability to work with the SIEM team to create and maintain correlation rules, dashboards, and reports to enhance SIEM platform effectiveness.
- Experience in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, with a track record of addressing identified issues.
- Up-to-date knowledge of security technologies, emerging threats, and industry best practices, with a commitment to sharing insights across the team.
- Skilled in collaborating with various IT teams to foster security awareness and guide secure coding and data protection practices.
- Proven experience in working with Technology management, senior engineers, and support teams to design and execute technical solutions for current and future needs.
- Proficiency in infrastructure review, implementation, and design, with experience creating support and architectural documentation, policies, and standards.
- Ability to engage with business partners at various levels to clarify issues, identify opportunities, and gather detailed business requirements.
- Willingness and initiative to continually deepen understanding of trends, practices, and technologies within Financial Services.
- Commitment to following and promoting industry best practices, standards, and procedures in all aspects of work.
Pay Range: $68-$88/hr
