*Remote Contract Opportunity*
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Software Engineer position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and will be remote in the United States. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Design and specify information systems solutions for new or existing applications.
- Serve as a principal application designer, providing technological solutions using available tools and analytical skills.
- Oversee basic to complex systems analysis, design, and development.
- Act as a key individual contributor on complex projects.
- Coordinate development tasks and direct less experienced resources.
- Participate in all stages of systems development including user acceptance testing.
- Evaluate complex interrelationships among programs and applications.
- Lead technical evaluations of vendor software and recommend new technologies.
- Prepare thorough technical and functional documentation, charts, and diagrams.
- Maintain supported applications for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to risk, regulatory standards, and internal control policies.
What You'll Need to Have:
- Experience in Database Engineering
- Knowledge of gRPC
- Knowledge of Event Sourcing
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree and 5 years of systems analysis/application development experience, OR 7 years of combined higher education and/or work experience including 5 years in systems analysis/app dev
- Proficiency with application development platforms and project management tools
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication; experience presenting to diverse audiences
- Ability to multitask and manage complex projects
- Experience in recommending and implementing technical solutions
- Advanced understanding of integrated applications
- Experience working independently and as part of a team
- Action-oriented and proactive mindset
- Banking industry experience preferred
Pay Range: $54-$69+/hr
