*Hybrid Contract-to-Hire Opportunity* 

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Accounting (Tax & License) Specialist position! This is a 3 month contract-to-hire opportunity, and will be hybrid 2 days a week in Mobile, Alabama. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services for the duration of the contract. 

Position Overview:

This role is primarily responsible for providing support to the Sales Tax Team and Field Operations by completing sales and use tax filings and maintaining licenses and required permits for multiple locations. This position will work closely with Tax, Operations, Legal, and other internal and external contacts.

What You'll Be Doing: 

• Prepare sales and use tax returns accurately and promptly.
• Reconcile sales and use tax accounts and prepare journal entries.
• Obtain and renew annual licenses, including business, gross receipt, and health permits.
• Complete resale certificates for vendors.
• Support audit defense for licensing and sales tax audits.
• Provide timely assistance to field operations colleagues.

What You'll Need to Have: 

• Associate's Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• 1+ years business license or accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required, strong Excel skills needed.
• Experience with ERP; SAP preferred.
• Experience with License HQ, or another business licensing application preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage significant amounts of electronic data.



Pay Range: $28-$30/hr
