Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Active Directory Engineer position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity based in Buffalo, New York and can be REMOTE in the United States. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.

Position Overview

The Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Operations Team delivers and supports all the foundational technology used across the organization. Supports Two Data Centers, 1 Service Desk, 14,000 Distributed platforms, 24 Mainframe Regions and processes approximately 635,000 automated jobs per month. We deliver innovative and compelling technology solutions to enhance the internal customer experience that enables our business partners to deliver.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the migration of SSO configurations from PingID to Entra for SSO across various applications.
• Collaborate with application owners, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and secure migration process.
• Develop and implement migration strategies and plans, including risk assessments, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Configure, test, and validate SSO settings and integrations in Entra for each application in accordance with enterprise standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the migration process, providing timely resolutions.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices throughout the migration.
• Document migration processes, configurations, and any changes made during the project.
• Provide training and support to application owners and IT staff on the new SSO configurations in Entra.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in SSO technologies and cybersecurity trends.

What You'll Need to Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or work-related experience. 
• 3+ years professional experience in a technical engineering position involving operational upkeep, optimization, and feature expansion of a highly complex enterprise deployment of Active Directory and/or Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
• 4+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and/or managing Directory Services environments in enterprise-level organizations.
• 2nd and 3rd level troubleshooting of issues, vendor relationship and license management, business continuity planning, capacity planning, audit/compliance, disaster recovery and platform maintenance.
• Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages, particularly PowerShell/Python, for automating Active Directory tasks and processes. Ansible a plus.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management principles, including SSO, LDAP, Kerberos, SAML, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
• Experience with directory services integration, including LDAP, Azure AD, and third-party identity providers.
• Solid grasp of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Pay Range: $43-$58/hr +
