*Remote Contract Opportunity*
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Android Developer position! This is a 4+ month contract opportunity and can be fully remote in the United States. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide designs, specify information systems solutions, and technical direction in the development of new or existing applications.
- Serve as a principal application designer for major modifications using analytical and technical skills.
- Deliver sound technology solutions and complete day-to-day support activities and special projects.
- Oversee basic to complex systems analysis, design, and development efforts.
- Direct and monitor less experienced resources; coordinate development tasks for projects of varying scope.
- Manage the technical components of project plans and lead or participate in testing and debugging.
- Evaluate interrelationships among programs, interfacing applications, and platforms.
- Provide analytical consulting and identify new uses of information technologies for strategic business initiatives.
- Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and system diagrams.
- Contribute to project assessments, estimating task timelines and required efforts.
- Maintain the effectiveness of supported applications and recommend technology enhancements.
- Promote adherence to development standards and procedures.
- Understand and align technology support with the business's operations and strategic goals.
- May assist with budgeting and participate in vendor software evaluations.
What You'll Need to Have:
- Native Android App development
- Understanding of backend components
- Associate’s degree and 5+ years of systems analysis/application development experience; or in lieu of a degree, 7+ years combined experience and education.
- Experience as an individual contributor on complex projects and leading technical development efforts.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with presentation experience.
- Proficiency with project management, word processing, and spreadsheet tools.
- Capable of working independently on complex tasks and coordinating with business units.
- Experience recommending and implementing systems solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Native iOS App development
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
- Subject matter expertise in business domains with application/system knowledge.
- Advanced understanding of applications and their integration points.
- Experience working in both team and independent environments.
- Exposure to due diligence, business studies, and cost/benefit analysis.
Pay Range: $60-$70+/hr
