 Required Qualifications –   Application Support Analyst

Skills: - zOS, Linux, Oracle 12c, DB2, MQ, SSO, SSL, WebSphere.

  • Required - Must have 7+ years of TSO, COBOL, DB2, VSAM, JCL and CICS, ISAM, VSAM, WebSphere MQ experience.
  • Good to have some Oracle support experience as well.
  • Responsible to perform application support functions for financial applications.
  • Work with the Application support teams & vendor to deploy software releases into the test environments and document clear instructions for changes to be implemented by production support teams. Assist teams in resolving issues and deploying changes onto environments.
  • Responsible for trouble-shooting and resolving environment outages, perform root cause analysis and implement remedial solutions. Work with the vendor for deploying upgrades, patches.
  • Implement monitoring of the environments and take corrective actions as required. Automate change deployment where easily possible.
  • Work with environment and release managers to ensure application integrity is maintained by keeping confluence updated and tracking fixes through JIRA updates.
  • Participate in follow the follow the sun support model and receive or provide handovers from and to other regions.
