LHTS is seeking a CIO / VP of IT with Subject Matter Expertise on the Salesforce platform and VERY strong Member Services experience for a rapidly growing company in the Buffalo, NY area.  This seasoned executive will be charged with evaluating technologies and designing technical architectures to manage complexity and increase business agility.  

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Establish and execute the IT vision for the long-term success of the company.
  • Partner with the company and leadership to align business and IT strategies and maximize the value of technology investments.
  • Access technologies and design technical architectures to increase business agility and support business innovation.
  • Operate and deliver efficient IT services and solutions to support the company and our membership while managing risk and protecting core assets.
  • Ensure the tech systems and procedures lead to successful outcomes and achieve the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Develop a joint business/IT process to deliver service innovations that support the team and the membership. 
  • Review and align IT strategy with business leaders and establish an ongoing IT strategy development process.
  • Create or enhance technical architectures, including Salesforce CRM platform and ongoing development.
  • Oversee the ongoing development of the Member portal, and external-facing platform for distributors and suppliers.
  • Identify and analyze new technologies for the company and to support and enhance the ongoing growth of the company.
  • Develop the organization’s technical vision
  • Develop IT strategies to increase the company’s top-line revenue.
  • Create service-level agreements (SLAs) with business areas and operating-level agreements between IT functions and vendors to ensure SLAs are met.
  • Periodically share vision and updates on how IT can, and is, creating value for the organization
  • Establish and operate a project portfolio management and budget management process that deploys, tracks, and adjusts program and project resources
  • Create and operate a joint business/IT governance process to prioritize and approve IT investments
  • Establish an ongoing communication process to share updates on IT financial performance and value delivered to the organization
  • Use a good understanding of data and analytics to develop a strategy to fully utilize existing information to create the maximum impact for business and customers.
  • Manage Director of IT and build/add support, as needed
  • Oversee ongoing development and evolution to mobile applications.
  • UX in general – add reporting and relevant information for members and suppliers.
  • Help to establish ideal IT processes (internal and external) to streamline operations to scale the business for future growth and development.
  • Oversee current and future vendors, including Salesforce, AT Technology, software engineers and/or developers as well as hardware and software management
  • Team collaboration for creativity and support on current and future initiatives. 

Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems. A Master’s Degree in Business or Information Systems is preferred.
  • Minimum of ten years of full-time experience in information systems, including five years’ experience in a managerial, consultative or executive capacity.
  • Understanding of end-user requirements and experience with member-related services
  • Highly skilled in analytical and strategic thinking and the ability to successful manage organization change, build collaborative relationships inside or outside the organization, be results oriented and able to foster and encourage innovation.
  • A team-oriented mentality and willingness to collaborate to drive optimal results and achieve company goals.
  • A strong interest in working in an entrepreneurial, fast growing company environment.

  • Need someone with strong Salesforce experience to get the platform working:  Robust data and profile information for our supplier partners and prospects along with easily accessible reports and information
