Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Cloud Network Engineer position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Design, implement, and support secure cloud network solutions in a banking environment, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Utilize Microsoft Azure to architect and manage cloud-based infrastructure, focusing on network connectivity, scalability, and security.
- Deploy and maintain Aviatrix platforms to enable multi-cloud networking, policy enforcement, and secure connectivity across environments.
- Collaborate with Technology leadership, senior Engineers, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-performance, cloud-integrated networking solutions.
- Conduct infrastructure assessments and participate in planning and execution of architecture upgrades for cloud networking technologies.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures, and deployment guides.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for network engineering, advising on best practices and resolving advanced connectivity and security challenges.
- Coordinate vendor interactions and manage external resources for cloud networking tools and services.
- Mentor junior engineers on cloud network architecture, security models, and performance optimization.
- Participate in risk assessments, incident response planning, and business continuity initiatives as part of a regulated financial IT organization.
- Maintain knowledge of financial services trends, compliance requirements, and emerging cloud networking technologies.
What You’ll Need to Have:
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services
- Implementation and support of Aviatrix for cloud networking and security
- Strong background in Network Engineering, including routing, switching, and firewalls
- Combined minimum of 6 years of higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management, and/or architecture.
- Banking industry experience preferred.
Pay Range:Â $55-$70+/hr
