Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Continuous Improvement Analyst position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Calgary or Edminton. This role will be a T4 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.

 

Position Overview:

The Continuous Improvement Analyst (CIA) is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of change initiatives in a hybrid delivery environment that blends Agile and Waterfall practices. This role combines strong project management discipline with hands-on business analysis and continuous improvement capabilities to drive successful outcomes across people, process, and technology. The CIA partners closely with business stakeholders, product owners, delivery teams, and subject matter experts to define problems, identify root causes, shape solutions, and ensure effective implementation. This position requires strong communication skills, adaptability across delivery methodologies, and the ability to foster a culture of sustainable change and continuous improvement.

 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead and manage initiatives from intake and approval through delivery and benefits realization, selecting the most appropriate delivery approach (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) based on scope and complexity
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, RAID logs, and financial tracking for predictive or hybrid initiatives
  • Support Agile delivery by enabling backlog refinement, iteration planning, dependency management, and delivery tracking in partnership with Product Owners and Scrum teams
  • Ensure delivery governance requirements are met, including status reporting, milestone reviews, risk management, and stakeholder communications
  • Proactively manage dependencies across teams, vendors, and partners
  • Partner with business stakeholders to validate problems, define objectives, and translate needs into clear, actionable requirements
  • Elicit, analyze, and document requirements through interviews, workshops, process mapping, and document analysis
  • Produce high-quality artifacts such as business requirements, user stories, process maps, use cases, and acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate with technology teams to ensure requirements are feasible, traceable, and aligned to business outcomes
  • Lead and facilitate process improvement and problem-solving workshops to drive root cause analysis and solution design
  • Document current and future state processes, controls, roles, and ownership across workflows
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and evidence-based decision-making
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts, encouraging shared ownership and accountability
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with audiences at all levels, including senior leadership
  • Model strong leadership behaviors aligned to organizational values and delivery excellence

 

What You'll Need to Have:

  • Strong project management experience in Waterfall and hybrid delivery models
  • Practical experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban) and collaborating with Product Owners and delivery teams
  • Advanced business analysis skills including requirements elicitation, process modeling, and problem solving
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills with experience presenting to executive stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage ambiguity and adapt delivery approach to business needs
  • Understanding of change management and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with Lean, Agile, iterative delivery, and value-based prioritization practices
  • Strong documentation and analytical skills
  • Experience delivering medium to large initiatives in complex, cross-functional environments
  • Demonstrated success combining project management and business analysis responsibilities within a single role
  • Project management, Agile, or business analysis certifications are an asset
  • SAP experience is an asset

 

Pay Range: $65-84/hr CAD
