Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to add a Digital Designer to their team! This is a direct hire role and is open to hybrid candidates in Buffalo, New York.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a talented and highly motivated Digital Designer to create high-quality and engaging user experiences through developing, implementing, and optimizing our digital properties and marketing campaigns across all channels. The right individual will have in-depth knowledge of graphic design, styles and layout techniques, as well as experience with website performance management. You will play a pivotal role in extending our brand presence and storytelling through online and digital mediums. This position requires a conscientious individual to work closely with the Director of Digital Media and collaborate with the UX and dev teams to ensure a cohesive, meaningful, and visually engaging representation of products across all its associated brands.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of brand-focused content, ensuring alignment with the overall brand strategy, marketing campaigns, and storytelling initiatives; recommend and execute website changes on our website properties.
- Implement UX/UI initiatives across marketing channels to integrate compelling design elements that enhance user experience and align with technical capabilities.
- Maintain and enhance brand consistency across all digital platforms, aligning web content with brand guidelines and values; translate business and marketing objectives into designs that are clear, compelling, visually exciting, easy to use and emotionally engaging; actively participate and help drive the creative process by presenting well-developed creative solutions to meet the given objectives.
- Bring expertise in content design, emphasizing the communication of brand stories, product technology, innovation, events, and editorial content; execute, design and propose creative elements for digital platforms (PDF, Web, Email, Social).
- Create designs that are responsive across various devices, ensuring seamless experiences on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, design tools, and technologies to bring fresh and innovative ideas to extend the brand content.
- Conduct regular quality checks on the websites to identify and resolve any design-related issues, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
What You'll Need to Have:
- 3-5 years of experience in graphic design, including previous work specifically in visual brand development and web or UI design
- Experience with graphic design tools such as XD, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite including strong knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
- CMS management (preferably Wordpress) experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in design, graphic design, computer science, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Web Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous brand-focused web design projects
- Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices
- Expertise in content design, with a focus on communicating brand stories, product technology, innovation, events, and editorial content
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the UX and dev teams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and strong project management skills; ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
- Energetic, fast-learning with a desire to work in a results-oriented, hands-on environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry Experience with B2B, SaaS, or technology company
- Proficient in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
- Knowledge of CRM tools (Preferrably Salesforce)
- Experience using a project management tool (Asana, ClickUp, Notion)
Salary Range: $55,000-$75,000 Annually
