*Hybrid Contract Opportunity*
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Enterprise Cloud Architect position! This is a 6+ month contract opportunity based in Buffalo; local candidates preferred. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
Position Overview
Our client, a large regional bank, is looking for a Cloud Architect to support the bank's strategic transition from an on-premises data center to a hybrid model involving colocation and a single public cloud. This position requires a deep understanding of banking compliance and U.S. Federal regulations, as well as expertise in designing and implementing cloud solutions that align with the bank's operational and security standards.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop and refine the roadmap for transitioning to a hybrid cloud model, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Create comprehensive high-level designs for cloud architecture, addressing scalability, security, and compliance.
- Translate high-level designs into detailed solutions architecture, providing clear guidance for implementation teams.
- Ensure all cloud solutions adhere to banking compliance standards and U.S. Federal regulations.
- Collaborate with IT, security, and business units to ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions.
- Lead and guide implementation teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Build strong relationships with management, providing expert advice and insights to support decision-making.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders to foster collaboration.
- Manage third-party relationships to impact SLAs, cost, performance, and agility in hybrid environments.
What You'll Need to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years in cloud architecture, with 3+ years focused on Azure hybrid environments.
- Certifications such as Azure Solution Architect Expert, Azure Administrator, Certified Cloud Service Manager, or DevOps Engineer.
- Deep understanding of banking compliance and U.S. Federal regulations.
- Strong communication skills to clearly articulate technical concepts and collaborate across teams.
- Expertise in Azure Security Center, Azure AD, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including virtual networks, subnets, DNS, load balancers, and hybrid connectivity.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud principles, services, and architecture.
- Experience designing scalable, secure, and efficient solution blueprints.
- Mastery of Azure services such as Virtual Machines, Kubernetes Service (AKS), Functions, App Services, and Cosmos DB.
- Skills in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates and Terraform, and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Competence in Azure data storage, data migration, and analytics services.
- Familiarity with OpenShift (RBAC, security contexts), Helm charts, and monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Understanding of Snowflake architecture, Data Bricks, Fabric, and data exchange patterns across hybrid environments.
- Knowledge of colocation providers, data center operations, and SLA management.
Pay Range:Â $60-$75/hr +
