Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Hardware Refurbishment Technician position! This is a 3+ month contract opportunity and will be onsite in Cheektowaga, NY, Monday-Friday. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
Position Overview:
This role completes activities related to installations, configuration, and operations of systems hardware and software, and supports the sale of refurbished technology equipment in a warehouse setting.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Process and refurbish technology equipment including laptops, desktops, tablets, iPhones, iPads, scanners, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Provide troubleshooting and resolution for routine to moderately complex hardware issues using basic diagnostic tools.
- Maintain accurate repair inventory logs and track equipment through the disposition lifecycle.
- Manage and triage ServiceNow orders and tickets to support new equipment distribution and break/fix device replacement.
- Participate in ServiceNow enhancement discussions and perform software testing as needed.
- Support the evaluation and transportation of unused equipment throughout the organization.
- Assess quality and resale potential of equipment; perform refurbishments to maximize recovery value.
- Manage customer orders, shipping logistics, and inventory tracking.
- Serve as a point of contact for clients purchasing refurbished equipment.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of banking systems, vendor technologies, and internal applications.
- Adhere to regulatory standards and escalate risk-related issues to management.
What You’ll Need to Have:
- Ability to engage with internal clients and document technical requirements.
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills with a basic understanding of IT systems and workflows.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Proven problem-solving ability
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and process-oriented mindset.
- Associate degree in a technology-related field preferred.
- Certifications or technical training related to hardware and equipment preferred.
- Physical Requirements: This position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting/moving items over 50 pounds regularly.
Pay Range:Â $22-$24/hr
