*Onsite Direct Hire Opportunity*
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Human Resources Manager position! This is a direct hire opportunity and will be onsite in Buffalo, New York.
Position Overview:
This position will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive HR support, ensuring compliance, and maintaining appropriate documentation as a member of the senior leadership team.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Implement Bamboo HRIS.
- Create and implement performance management system.
- Manage benefits, including enrolling, terminating, and making changes, reconciling monthly insurance bills, maintaining costs, conducting 401k year-end testing, and administering benefits according to union contracts.
- Coordinate medical care for injured employees, process claims, manage workers' compensation, maintain OSHA logs, and conduct annual OSHA reporting and audits.
- Handle disability claims, FMLA, and other leave of absence requests.
- Lead semi-annual open enrollment, including providing trainings on any changes and answering questions.
- Manage job descriptions (union and non-union) and job postings for recruiting purposes for both office and union roles.
- Work with managers to identify and interview candidates.
- Conduct new hire orientation.
- Lead onboarding process, including background checks, pre-employment physicals, and preparing for day one to create a positive experience for hiring managers and new hires.
- Handle payroll (ADP) for both union and office staff, including disability, special rate sheets, retroactive pay, logging vacation and personal days, and commission payments.
- Review and process payroll reports, set up for the next cycle in ADP, and receive/load files from ADP.
- Contribute to employee retention by supporting them with questions, receiving feedback, and conducting exit interviews.
What You'll Need to Have:
- At least 5 years of full-cycle HR experience.
- Experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Experience as an HR department of one preferred.
- PHR / SHRM-CP preferred.
- Knowledge of payroll systems and processes, specifically ADP.
- Strong attention to detail and compliance.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems, BambooHR preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems preferred
Salary Range: $90,000-$105,000
