Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our Buffalo-based client to add a Mainframe Application Developer to their team! This is a 6 month contract with likely extensions and can be remote in the USA. This is an exciting role that will be part of the company's migration off of legacy systems and to newer technology!
What You'll Be Doing:
- Rigorously build and test applications
- Perform systems administration: monitor, configure, back-up, authenticate, tune
- Create and maintain quality code, provide support during testing cycles and post-production deployment, engage in peer code reviews
- Contribute to project plans, estimations and status updates
- Identify issues, develop and maintain processes that address and resolve them, and communicate/alert stakeholders as needed
- Help make enhancements and troubleshoot
- Configure and develop custom components with technology partners (analysts, developers, designers etc.)
- Make sure applications are free of common coding vulnerabilities and follow standard security practices
- Proactively put forward ideas that speak to project objectives (e.g. development, testing solutions, and tools)
- Complete unit and integration testing per standards and design specs
- Take part in scope assessment, risk and cost analysis
What You'll Need to Have:
- Knowledge of mainframe apps such as Shaw, ACAPS, Hogan
- Experience building mainframe DevOps pipelines
- End to end development experience
- Code coverage testing, unit testing and regression testing experience
- Automated testing experience
- Strong mainframe CICS/API monitoring knowledge
- Experience using CICS monitoring tools such as Strobe and architecting performance notifications and alerts
- Experience working in an agile environment and using JIRA
- Banking, lending, mortgage or financial services industry experience
Pay Range: $70-85/hr +
