*Hybrid Contract Opportunity*
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Mortgage Loan Processor position! This is a 6+ month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Ballston Lake, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Maintain effective communication with customers, brokers, correspondents, loan officers, and internal teams to ensure a seamless loan application process.
- Work with various internal departments and external organizations to obtain necessary processing documentation, including Verification of Employment, IRS Transcripts, title searches, appraisals, and bank statements.
- Notify relevant parties of irregularities related to standard mortgage guidelines.
- Monitor, update, and analyze credit reports, appraisals, income documentation, and verifications to ensure compliance with product, underwriting, and investor guidelines.
- Perform administrative duties such as preparing and mailing commitment letters, reviewing title and homeowner’s insurance, mailing loan suspension notices, and providing closing attorneys with required documentation.
What You'll Need to Have:
- 2-3 years of mortgage processing or underwriting experience.
- Knowledge of mortgage processing and underwriting requirements.
- Familiarity with mortgage loan systems such as Empower and Encompass.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Analytical and mathematical ability to evaluate loan applications and regulatory requirements.
- Associates Degree or two years of equivalent work experience.
- Ability to assess loan applications, restructure loans as needed, and recommend solutions.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in reviewing and accepting loan conditions based on underwriter requirements.
- Understanding of federal compliance guidelines under the SAFE Act.
- Strong problem-solving skills related to borrower fee structures and regulatory documentation.
Pay Rate: $25/hr
