*12+ Month Contract Opportunity*
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Mortgage Loan Processor position! This is a 12+ month, hybrid opportunity in Ballston Lake, NY. Qualified remote employees will be considered. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Maintain effective communication with customers, brokers, correspondents, loan officers, and internal teams to ensure a seamless loan application process.
- Work with various internal departments and external organizations to obtain necessary processing documentation, including Verification of Employment, IRS Transcripts, title searches, appraisals, and bank statements.
- Notify relevant parties of irregularities related to standard mortgage guidelines.
- Monitor, update, and analyze credit reports, appraisals, income documentation, and verifications to ensure compliance with product, underwriting, and investor guidelines.
- Perform administrative duties such as preparing and mailing commitment letters, reviewing title and homeowner’s insurance, mailing loan suspension notices, and providing closing attorneys with required documentation.
- Ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements and guidelines.
What You'll Need to Have:
- Associates degree with a minimum of one year mortgage industry experience or two years equivalent work experience, OR in lieu of a degree, three years equivalent work experience including a minimum of one year mortgage industry experience.
- Knowledge of Product, Investor and Compliance Requirements.
- Knowledge of mortgage processing and underwriting requirements.
- Customer service experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Analytical and mathematical ability to evaluate loan applications and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to assess loan applications, restructure loans as needed, and recommend solutions.
- Familiarity with mortgage loan systems such as Empower and Encompass preferred.
Pay Rate: $24/hr
