Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Network Automation Engineer position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY (onsite 4 days/week). This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Automation Engineer with proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and network programmability. As a network automation engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain automated workflows for network infrastructure using Nautobot, Ansible, and related technologies. Your role involves collaborating with internal teams to understand requirements, streamline network operations, and deliver scalable, automated solutions aligned with organizational standards.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Work closely with technology management, senior engineers, and support teams to design, develop, and implement technical solutions.
- Participate in infrastructure review, implementation, and design activities.
- Create and maintain architectural, standards, policy, analysis, testing, and support documentation.
- Collaborate independently with business partners across varying levels to clarify requirements and define solutions.
- Coordinate with vendors and vendor resources as needed.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and technicians; review documentation, proposals, and technical changes.
- Continuously expand knowledge of financial services technologies, trends, and best practices.
- Promote and follow industry standards, procedures, and technical best practices.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of enterprise applications, systems, development environments, and vendor technologies.
- Ensure adherence to risk management, regulatory standards, and internal control requirements, escalating issues as needed.
What You’ll Need to Have:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development experience
- DevOps experience
- Network Engineering experience
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated network infrastructure workflows.
- Proficiency with Nautobot, Ansible, and related network automation tools and technologies.
- Strong understanding of network automation frameworks and scalable infrastructure design.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into automated technical solutions.
- Ability to streamline and optimize network operations through automation.
Pay Range:Â $58-$73+/hr
