*Hybrid Contract Opportunity*
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Performance Engineer position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo, New York. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Work closely with Technology management, more experienced Engineers, and support teams on a regular basis to implement and manage the design, development, and execution of technical solutions that meet or exceed current and future needs of the organization.
- Responsibilities may include infrastructure review, implementation, and design, creation of support and architectural documentation, standards, policies, analysis, and testing.
- Regularly and independently interact with business partners of varying associate and management levels to ensure clarity of the problem/opportunity and elicit business requirements.
- Facilitate meetings and conference calls with vendors, internal staff, and senior professionals.
- Mentor and coach less experienced engineers, technicians, and integrators. Review documentation, proposals, and changes proposed by less experienced staff.
- Seek to expand knowledge and understanding of financial services trends, practices, and technologies on a continuous basis.
- Follow and promote use of industry best practices, standards and procedures.
- Maintain a working knowledge of specific systems and services supported by department. Work with senior technical staff to understand, manage, and support elements of the Bank service catalog. Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
- Maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
What You'll Need to Have
- A 4-year degree in Computer Science or IT (or equivalent related IT work experience) required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of programming languages and ability to program required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
- Ability to do basic statistical mathematics required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
- Experience in Performance and Load Testing highly preferred.
- Experience in Dynatrace preferred.
- LoadRunner experience preferred.
- C programming language knowledge preferred.
- Systems Infrastructure knowledge preferred.
Pay Range: $38-$58/hr +
