Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Product Owner position! This is a 9+ month contract opportunity and will be on-site in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build and own the product vision and roadmap aligned with strategic objectives.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog(s) based on overall product strategy.
- Represent the voice of the customer and ensure story clarity for the delivery team.
- Make autonomous, well-informed decisions to move product delivery forward.
- Write user stories and define acceptance criteria to support Acceptance Test-Driven Development (ATDD).
- Partner with agile teams to create effective communication tools and progress tracking mechanisms.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and team activities.
- Collaborate across business units and with other Product Owners to align customer journeys and dependent backlogs.
- Use design thinking methods and analytics to focus on outcomes over outputs.
- Influence business partners across the organization to advocate for customer-centered solutions.
- Ensure adherence to risk management, regulatory standards, and internal control requirements.
What You’ll Need to Have:
- 6+ years of Product Owner or product experience in a banking environment
- Experience in Embedded Banking use cases (strongly preferred)
- Experience working with Commercial clients or FinTech partners (strongly preferred)
- Strong experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience defining product vision and roadmap in ambiguous, early-stage initiatives
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally on complex projects with evolving requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical teams and business stakeholders
- Experience writing high-quality user stories and defining acceptance criteria
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence
- Ability to work independently, ramp quickly, and bring structure to ambiguity
Pay Range:Â $60-$65/hr
