*Hybrid Contract Opportunity*
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Scrum Master position! This is a 6+ month contract and will be hybrid in Buffalo. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Provide servant-leadership and mentorship to multiple cross-functional agile teams using frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, and Extreme Programming (XP).
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through transparency, collaboration, and feedback loops.
- Coach teams on Agile practices including user stories, retrospectives, story mapping, ATDD, TDD, continuous integration, and pair programming.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Enable team visibility by utilizing information radiators to track workflow and highlight impediments.
- Escalate and address blocking issues outside of the team’s control to keep work flowing.
- Collaborate with Agile leaders across the organization to improve agile maturity and adoption.
- Mentor less experienced Scrum Masters and lead internal Agile learning opportunities (CoPs, meetups, trainings).
- Maintain risk and regulatory standards and help implement controls to ensure compliance.
What You'll Need to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of experience on Agile teams, including 2+ years as a Scrum Master; OR, in lieu of a degree, 8+ years of combined education/work experience including at least 2 years as a Scrum Master.
- Experience with Scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe).
- Banking industry or financial services experience.
- Proven success in fostering team self-organization and driving continuous improvement.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Background in two or more technology roles (e.g., project management, UX, BA, development, QA, or deployment).
- Knowledge of Agile and Lean principles.
- Familiarity with Design Thinking and digital product delivery.
Pay Range: $48-$63/hr +
