*Hybrid Contract Opportunity*
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Scrum Master position! This is a 6+ month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Serve as Scrum Master for one or more technical project teams within a financial services organization.
- Lead and facilitate all Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure Agile principles and Scrum best practices are followed across technical and non-technical teams.
- Remove impediments, identify risks, and help drive continuous improvement across the team.
- Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and technical leads to ensure clear backlog prioritization and alignment with business objectives.
- Apply project management fundamentals—timelines, deliverables, status reporting—alongside Agile practices.
- Support multiple concurrent technical projects with a strong sense of accountability and execution.
- Utilize JIRA and Confluence to track project progress, documentation, and team communication.
- Work in hybrid environments involving cloud technologies including AWS and Azure.
- Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery and communication.
What You'll Need to Have:
- Previous experience as a Scrum Master or Technical Project Manager in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and ability to coach teams on Agile principles.
- Experience managing or leading technical project teams.
- Strong background in classic project management (status tracking, planning, documentation) combined with Agile Scrum practices.
- Experience in financial services, banking, or mortgage industries is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and MS Office Suite.
- Experience working in cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Go-getter attitude and self-motivated mindset.
Pay Range:Â $50-$58+/hr
