*Hybrid Contract Opportunity*
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Senior Data Engineer position! This is a 12+ month contract role and will be hybrid in Philadelphia. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Work on a data team that is responsible for database developments, BI and reporting needs, as well as ETL and custom development jobs, primarily using Microsoft full stack tooling.
- Enhancing and optimizing the existing data warehouse integrations, including stored procedures, triggers, and other SQL Server components.
- Analyzing and understanding large amounts of existing code to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
- Collaborating with teams to design and implement more efficient data movement and processing solutions.
- Developing and enhancing solutions using .NET frameworks, Python, and scripting to support data architecture and reporting needs.
- Supporting the day-to-day operations related to business reporting and ensuring smooth data integration.
- Providing recommendations for improved data models and more effective data processing pipelines.
What You’ll Need to Have:
- Minimum of an Associates degree and 5 years systems analysis/application development experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years systems analysis/application development experience.
- Strong expertise in SQL Server development, including stored procedures, triggers, and query optimization.
- Experience working with .NET frameworks, Python, and scripting languages to support integration and data movement.
- A proven ability to understand and enhance large, complex data systems.
- Self-starter attitude, with the ability to learn new data models quickly and propose improvements.
- Hands-on experience in improving data architecture and supporting business reporting processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on optimizing data workflows and architectures.
Pay Range: $70-$80/hr +
