*Remote Contract Opportunity*
Join our client's Enterprise Data Stewardship team and play a critical role in ensuring the quality, integrity, and trustworthiness of enterprise data. In this role, you will be responsible for governing enterprise master data assets, proactively monitoring data quality, and coordinating timely remediation. As a data steward, you are key driver of data trust, enabling a data-driven culture through strong governance, partnership, and continuous improvement.
This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and can be remote in the United States (working EST hours). This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services during the contract period.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Identify, triage, and manage data quality issues by assessing impact, aligning stakeholders, and leading remediation efforts.
- Champion data governance best practices through enterprise standards, education, and change management.
- Develop functional knowledge of applications supporting master data flows.
- Perform root cause analysis across MDM platforms and associated data to identify and prioritize defects and enhancements.
- Recommend improvements to data processes and business rule logic for data validation, matching, merging, and survivorship.
- Standardize and document business definitions to support strong data governance.
What You’ll Need to Have:
- 5+ years of experience in data stewardship, including:
- 3+ years in Product, Vendor, or Client data domains.
- 2+ years working in MDM or data management systems (e.g., DBMSs, Data Lakes, Operational Data Stores).
- SQL query writing experience.
- Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to solve complex data problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple competing requests.
- Experience using AI research tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with geo-centric tools like Google or Bing Maps.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with incident reporting tools (e.g., Service Now, BMC Helix, JIRA, Azure DevOps).
- Exposure to Master Data Platforms (e.g., STEP by Stibo, Informatica MDM).
- Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Familiarity with SAP S4 Hana.
Pay Range: $45-$48/hr
