*Hybrid Contract Opportunity*
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Senior Java Developer position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. The ideal candidate is a strong Java Developer with Spring Boot experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Design, specify information systems solutions, and provide the highest level technical direction in the development of new or existing applications.
- Act as a principal application designer for critical components and major modifications.
- Complete and oversee the most complex systems analysis, design, and development efforts.
- Provide analytical consulting and leadership for identifying and implementing technology solutions.
- Coordinate development tasks and oversee less experienced resources.
- Prepare and manage technical project components and documentation.
- Develop and execute test plans, debug as needed, and evaluate interrelated programs and platforms.
- Recommend and lead technical evaluations of vendor software and propose new technologies.
- Maintain efficiency and effectiveness of supported applications and development environments.
- Assist with budget development and monitor employee performance when applicable.
- Ensure adherence to internal control standards and regulatory requirements.
What You'll Need to Have:
- 6+ years Java development experience.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Angular, Microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure cloud services.
- Background in the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Associate’s degree and 6+ years of systems analysis/application development experience; or 8+ years of combined higher education and work experience.
- Experience coordinating between applications and business units.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency with development platforms and project management tools.
- Experience mentoring others and providing technical leadership.
- Ability to manage complex projects independently and in a team environment.
Pay Range:Â $68-$83+/hr
