Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Senior Software Engineer position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and will be remote in the United States. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead full-stack development efforts for banking and financial applications.
- Design and deliver secure, compliant software solutions aligned with regulatory standards (e.g., SOX, FFIEC, PCI).
- Serve as technical lead on major projects, providing architecture input and mentoring junior engineers.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts and stakeholders to translate banking requirements into technical solutions.
- Build and maintain integrations between core banking platforms and third-party systems.
- Prepare, execute, and review test plans including data validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and audit readiness.
- Ensure software resiliency, data integrity, and compliance with internal control standards.
- Document systems and maintain clear traceability for audits and financial reporting.
- Contribute to risk assessments and help implement security best practices in all development efforts.
- Participate in vendor evaluations and product assessments for banking technology solutions.
What You’ll Need to Have:
- 8+ years of experience in systems analysis and software development.
- Experience building or maintaining financial systems (e.g., lending, deposits, risk, fraud detection, reporting).
- Strong knowledge of software development practices in regulated industries.
- Proficiency in enterprise application architecture and financial data management.
- Experience collaborating with compliance, risk, audit, or legal teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on critical timelines.
- Experience mentoring junior developers and leading cross-functional technical teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with banking core systems and APIs.
- Deep understanding of interfacing applications across transaction processing, risk analytics, and financial reporting.
- Experience in regulatory reporting or compliance-driven software development.
- Background in Agile development within a banking or financial services environment.
- Exposure to encryption, secure data storage, and access control practices specific to banking.
Pay Range:Â $73-$88+/hr
