Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Senior Systems Infrastructure Engineer position! This is a 6+ month contract opportunity based in Buffalo, NY and is open to local and remote candidates (EST working hours). This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Serve as subject matter expert for specific technologies and services.
- Lead design, development, and execution of technical solutions aligned with organizational needs.
- Responsibilities may include infrastructure architecture/design, research and development, creating standards and policies, requirements analysis, system integration, and testing.
- Interact regularly with business partners to ensure clarity and capture requirements.
- Estimate project efforts for complex, moderate to large-scale projects.
- Coordinate with vendors and manage external resources as needed.
- Mentor junior engineers and review their documentation and proposals.
- Continuously expand knowledge of financial services technologies and trends.
- Follow and promote industry best practices and standards.
- Maintain high technical aptitude and knowledge of relevant applications and environments.
- Assist in expense and capital budget development.
- Understand and follow company risk and regulatory policies.
What You'll Need to Have:
- Microsoft suite server administration experience
- SQL Server knowledge for administration and query
- Storage and networking concepts understanding
- 10+ years in a technical engineering role involving infrastructure, data, or system design.
- Deep understanding of system development and infrastructure lifecycle, architecture, vendor practices, IT service management, and systems design.
- Proven ability to translate complex requirements into structured solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Client interaction, requirements gathering, and documentation skills.
- Effective facilitation and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of server/client and virtual technologies.
- Familiarity with banking industry preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred.
Pay Range: $83-$98+/hr
