Lighthouse Technology Services is seeking a Systems Administrator for a full time, permanent position with wonderful benefits! This role is based in Buffalo, NY and offers a hybrid work arrangement.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Be responsible for troubleshooting, upgrading, and managing software and hardware.
- Maintain operating systems, business applications, security tools, servers, email, installing, specifying system requirements, and maintaining network users, user environment, directories, and security.
- Update the operating system and manages utilization, network printing, local storage, and network resources.
- Oversee system performance and troubleshooting issues.
- Work with clients via email, phone and onsite visits to help them with their IT needs!
What You’ll Need to Have:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience with: Microsoft Server 2022/2019/2016/2012/2008, Microsoft Windows 11/10/7, Microsoft Active Directory, server backup products (Veeam, Datto), Exchange and or Microsoft O365, VMware ESXi.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Have an in-depth understanding of computer software, hardware, and networks.
- The desire to learn, participate in training and stay up to date on industry best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in projects completed.
- Ability to stay organized and stay on top of multiple projects and client needs simultaneously.
- A positive attitude and ability to handle stressful environments.
- Reliable transportation to drive to client sites as needed.
- Ability to install server racks and lift other equipment up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to work 40 hours a week, primarily between the hours of 9 AM and 5 PM, plus on-call availability to respond to client needs after hours as necessary. Weekend work required on occasion.

Preferred: Wireless AP technologies and installation, Firewall Management (Sonicwall, Cisco), Linux Infrastructure (RedHat/CentOS 6/7/8), Storage solutions and infrastructure, AWS, SQL, PowerShell and scripting, PCI/SOX/HIPAA compliance
Pay Range: $50-65,000 Annually
