  • Looking to fill the role of an ITIL Configuration Manager.
  • This is a fairly specific skillset that is related to Asset Management, but because it is a contract to FTE we want to make sure we have candidates with very solid Asset Management or Configuration Management experience.

  • The Configuration Management analyst helps build and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) by identifying, classifying, tracking, and monitoring the operational details of assets from the Information Technology (IT) Asset Management process.
  • By working closely with other technology teams to define, update, and monitor Configuration Items (CIs), the position supports the optimization of IT service delivery and helps identify business impact of outages across the enterprise.

Duties Include:

  • Records and maintains CI information and relationships for all in-scope CIs contained within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring data is current and provides quality input for Incident, Problem, Change, and other IT Service Management processes.
  • Provides design guidance on the structure of the CMDB, including CI types, naming conventions, required and optional attributes and relationships.
  • Oversees and performs configuration audits on a regular basis, identifying records with incorrect or outdated information, and coordinating with CI owners to remediate data inaccuracies.
  • Monitors health of the Configuration Management process and the CMDB, recommending process, design, or operational updates to reduce time and cost requirements for CMDB upkeep and improve overall data quality.
  • Manages business service mapping process, providing a visual representation of CI relationships and helping to show real-time business impact of CI changes and services that are impacted by an outage.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining Configuration Management standards, processes, policies and procedures; recommend updates based on experiences to streamline processes and improve efficiency of execution.
  • Collaborate with IT Asset Management and other technology teams to design integrations and consolidate data from hardware discovery and asset repository systems, ensuring the CMDB has updated source data.
  • Design, implement, and socialize detailed configuration management reports and dashboards to show overall health of the CMDB and the IT infrastructure enterprise wide.
  • Develop materials and execute training for technology staff on Configuration Management principles, policies, standards, and procedures to drive adoption and adherence to these procedures across the enterprise.

The IT Analyst will assist in managing, supporting, and maintaining our information technology (IT) infrastructure for our production data center and software development environments under the supervision of the Director of Information Technology.  This individual will provide IT systems support that includes installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, server builds and upgrades, domain configuration, performance and tuning.  Our SaaS environment utilizes an Oracle database so experience with Oracle database development and administration is a big plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for collaborating with the IT team to manage our core infrastructure including: dozens of severs, SAN storage, VMWare, Oracle databases, back-up infrastructure, Windows and RedHat/CentOS/Oracle Linux, and various IT management software applications.
  • Administration and management of SAN Storage Solutions (EMC/Sun/Dell).
  • Administration and management of Oracle database infrastructure.
  • Providing secondary support to production environment.  Assist with coverage of production servers during vacations or other times when primary is out of the office.
  • Work with other IT members on projects related to security/PCI, new client implementations or other IT production projects as assigned.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of an IT knowledgebase of standard IT procedures and tasks.
  •  Provide windows workstation support, installation services and training, configure network peripherals such as printers and copiers.
  • Manage the installation of software (application) on Windows Servers and workstations and maintain windows OS security patches for all servers and workstations.
  • Stay apprised of innovative technologies and solutions, and work with program manager to research and evaluate new product ideas.
  • SQL Server experience is a plus. PostgreSQL experience is a plus.
The Ideal Candidate will have the following characteristics:
  • ·      Minimum Associates Degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or Information Technology or related field
