POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage projects with multiple interfaces or initiatives, or one larger project affecting two businesses or functional areas, from initiation through close. Ensure familiarity with scope and project objectives and establish clear roles and responsibilities for project team members. Develop Project Plan, forecast and schedule.
  • Work with stakeholders to record detailed project requirements, constraints and assumptions to establish project deliverables, using requirement-gathering techniques (e.g. planning sessions, brainstorming, focus groups) and the project charter. Ensure plans for assigned projects include work breakdown, project organization chart, cost/budget and communication, risk, quality and resource plans.
  • Communicate project plans to affected parties to ensure a common understanding, set expectations and align stakeholders and project team members. Ensure execution of tasks defined in the project plan to achieve the project goals. Execute all parts of the project plan and manage the budget/forecast. Monitor and control project work including change controls. Measure project performance utilizing appropriate tools and techniques to monitor progress; identify and quantify variances, complete any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders.
  • Implement approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate project risk events. Improve project team performance by building team cohesiveness, leading, mentoring, training and motivating to facilitate cooperation, ensure project efficiency and boost morale. Support larger project initiatives working under the direction of higher management.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. Complete other related duties as assigned.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

  • Under direction of more senior Project Manager, manages multiple projects, multiple interfaces or one larger project impacting two businesses or functions; responsibility for the projects includes all aspects from initiation to close. Must be familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and responsibility of each team member, to effectively coordinate team activities.

MANAGERIAL/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • No direct reports but manages a project team ranging from 6 – 10 employees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ proven general management, project analysis or project management experience, OR in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ proven general management, project analysis or project management experience. Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent software packages. Sound knowledge of project management methodology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly an ability to negotiate, influence and gain consensus.   • Coordinate and provide estimates for complex projects and complete estimates for assigned component for large projects, inclusive of timelines, application and project phases.
  • Serves as subject matter expert to internal application owners and project members to consult and advise on how applications may be impacted by enterprise-wide initiatives, such as an acquisition or major change in products/services provided customers to ensure all facets are considered.
  • Work with pertinent vendors and technical team to gain thorough understanding of project functionality and provide insight on implementation.
  • May serve as Test Coordinator for large project initiatives involving multiple applications to ensure all testing needs are met across all interfacing applications.
  • Participate in and document data mapping for integration of systems, conversion and acquisition-related projects to understand how applications may need to change or be impacted by enterprise-wide initiatives, like regulatory requirements, other system enhancements or business initiatives.
  • Work with other testing teams to manage and/or execute test scripts verifying that changes and enhancements work and perform as required. Serve as functional lead with other project team members on other systems that impact specific projects to ensure no adverse impact to other systems.
  • Monitor functional specifications and change requests to ensure project stays within scope and meets regulatory requirements, while ensuring adherence to business requirements and Corporate Technology standards.
  • Ensure the Bank process and documentation is followed to comply with Corporate Technology standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure change requests to functional specifications are consistently documented, reviewed and resolved to identify impacts to overall project plan and budget, technology, customers and clients and ensure application is working to support products and services required by the business.
  • Ensure efficient and timely resolution of issues arising from testing or implementation to ensure expected performance.
  • Ensure issues, incidences and questions are documented, reported as resolved as required.
  • Coordinate and manage post implementation follow-up related to application changes by getting feedback from application owners, resolving any issues and completing a project debrief including actual to plan for timeline, financials, achievement of project goals and assessment and future mitigation of encountered issues.

Job Description:

  • The successful candidate should be self-driven and experienced in establishing formal testing processes as part of the development lifecycle using Microsoft Test Manager, ALM and other platforms.
  • The QA Engineer will work with the development team in the creation and maintenance of manual and automated test scripts to be used for smoke, regression, performance and other testing.
  • Throughout the development lifecycle you will be involved in ensuring developers write and execute code to unit test software.
  • You will maintain the test matrix for test coverage both through manual tests and automated tests.
  • You will help manage the QA release cycle by developing manual and automated tests, running and maintaining automated tests and working with other QA team members to plan and execute functional and UAT test cycles. You will also set up automation environments and coordinate nightly runs and regression and performance tests.
  • You should be familiar with using Visual Studio application testing using Microsoft Test Manager for exploratory, manual and other tests with the ability to collect diagnostics and performance information.

Basic Function

  • Participates and provides oversight in the development of system test strategies, plans, and designs.
